Built for teams that sell by phone

A caller needs leads they can use straight away: a phone number, who to ask for and why the company fits. Ripple finds those leads, does the homework on each one and writes the brief, so every call starts informed.

Logos of real customers go here once they agree to be named. Nothing is shown until then.

How it works

From a circle on the map to a call list

Every scan runs the same four steps, whether you sell software, supplies, insurance or marketing.
  1. Step 1: Draw your area

Pick a place on the map and drag the circle out to the radius you want. Choose the business types you sell to and how many companies to find.
  2. Step 2: Ripple searches Google Maps

Town by town, one business type at a time, through Google's official Places API. Duplicates, chains, closed businesses and companies already on your list are set aside.
  3. Step 3: AI researches each company

Claude, Anthropic's AI, reads each company's website for the owner, phone, email, team size, services, recent projects and the software they use.
  4. Step 4: Scored, briefed, queued

Each company is scored A to D against your ideal customer and gets a call brief. Send the call-ready ones to your call queue.

Single scan

One circle, any size. Pick it up again later, search it again or make it bigger. When a scan stops at its cap, it shows how much of the area it covered, and Find more carries on where it left off.

Ripple scan

A first circle around a centre, then rings pushed outward one at a time, each with its own width and settings. Work a territory from your office outward and watch each ring ripple across the map as leads appear.

What you get

Every lead arrives researched, scored and briefed

This sample is for a company that sells websites and local marketing to contractors. Change what you sell and who you sell to, and the research, score and brief change with it.
  • Facts from the company itself. Ripple reads what each business publishes on its own website, and the profile lists the pages it read.
  • No guessing. When a website doesn't say how big the team is or who runs it, the profile says so.
  • A score you can argue with. Six factors, each with its reason. If your team would score a lead differently, they correct it and say why.

Call brief

Reasons to call

  • Their website dates from 2014 and is hard to use on a phone, where most homeowners search.
  • Nine Google reviews in 15 years of work; asking after every job would add up quickly.
  • Jobs run to about $60k, so one extra project a year pays for a lot of marketing.

Opener

“Hi Callum, it's [your name] from [your company]. I saw the kitchen remodel you finished in Fergus on Facebook, but couldn't find it on your website. Do most of your jobs come from referrals right now?”

Caution: their site says they take on a handful of large projects a year. Check they want more work before you pitch.

Features

Everything between “who's out there?” and “who do we call first?”

Ripple does the searching, sorting and homework a good rep does before dialling, for every company in the area.
  • Google Maps, searched properly

One Google Places search per business type per town, through Google's official API, nearest towns and best-fit business types first.

  • Only businesses worth a call

Duplicates, chains, closed businesses, listings outside your circle and companies already on your call list are set aside automatically.

  • Research on every company

Claude reads up to four pages of each website: the owner, phone, email, team size, services, recent projects and the software in use, competitors included.

  • Scored against your ideal customer

Set the business types you sell to, the team size you want, good signs, deal breakers and competitors. Every lead is scored A to D on six factors you can see.

  • A call brief for every lead

Reasons to call, an opener that mentions their own work, and anything to watch for, all written from what Ripple found.

  • Deep dives when it matters

For the best leads, Ripple searches the web for reviews, social pages, news, job posts and buying signals, then scores the lead again.

  • Learns from your team

Callers can correct a score and say why. Ripple weighs recent corrections when it scores new companies and suggests ideal-customer changes for you to approve.

  • Coverage you can see

Each scan records the towns and searches it finished and shows how much of its area it covered. Find more picks up where a scan stopped.

  • A live map and a call queue

Watch each scan ripple out as leads appear, follow the live activity feed, then send call-ready leads to the queue and log every call.

FAQ

Questions people ask

About the data, the AI research, pricing and how scans work.

What is Ripple?

Ripple is an AI lead finder for sales teams that sell to local businesses. You pick an area on a map and Ripple finds the businesses you sell to through Google Maps, has AI research each company's website, scores how well each one fits your ideal customer and writes a call brief.

Where does Ripple's data come from?

Companies come from Google Maps, searched through Google's official Places API one business type and one town at a time. What Ripple knows about each company comes from the company's own website, read by Claude, Anthropic's AI. Optional deep dives also search the web for reviews, social pages, news and job posts. Ripple doesn't use purchased contact databases.

Does Ripple scrape Google Maps?

No. Ripple searches through the Google Places API, the supported way for software to search Google Maps. It keeps Google's place ID for each company and what it learned from the company's own website, and looks the rest of the Google listing up live when someone views it.

How is Ripple different from a lead database like Apollo or ZoomInfo?

Contact databases are built for finding people by job title at companies with a large online footprint, and they tend to be thin on owner-run local businesses. Ripple searches the area you choose as it is today, researches each business from its own website and scores it against your ideal customer, so you get the companies and the reason to call each one.

What does a lead cost?

About 50¢ for a researched lead (AI research, a score and a call brief), 10–20¢ for a listed lead (name, phone and website only) and $3 for a deep dive. You top up a prepaid balance from $25 and there's no subscription. New accounts start with $10 of free credit. These are the planned launch prices.

Do I pay for companies that turn out to be a poor fit?

Yes: you pay for each company Ripple researches, whatever its score, because the research is the work. You're not charged for duplicates, companies already on your list or websites Ripple couldn't read. To spend less on poor fits, narrow your business types and ideal customer, or run a Quick scan first and research only the companies you want.

Can I use Ripple if I don't sell to contractors?

Yes. You set the business types, team size, good signs, deal breakers and competitors for your own market, and the research and scores follow. Any kind of business that is listed on Google Maps and has a website can be found and researched.

Does Ripple find the owner's name and email?

When a company's website names the owner or a manager, Ripple records them, with the phone number and email the site lists. If the site doesn't say, the profile says so rather than guessing, and a deep dive can look further. Many small businesses list a general inbox rather than a personal one.

Will Ripple bring back companies we already have?

No. Scans skip companies already on your call list, merge duplicate listings, and set aside chains and closed businesses. Searching an area again later only adds businesses Ripple doesn't have yet.

What's the difference between a single scan and a ripple scan?

A single scan is one circle of any size, which you can search again, make bigger or pick up later. A ripple scan starts with a circle around a centre, then pushes outward one ring at a time, each ring with its own width and settings, so you can work a territory from the inside out.

Which areas can Ripple search?

Any area Google Maps covers. You pick a place and a radius, and Ripple works through the towns inside it, nearest first. Ripple was built and first used in Ontario, Canada.

Is it legal to cold call the leads Ripple finds?

It depends on where you and your prospects are, and whether you call, email or text. Ripple finds the contact details businesses publish themselves, but you're responsible for following the rules that apply to you, such as CASL in Canada or the TCPA and CAN-SPAM in the United States. Check with your own advisor.
