Google Maps leads
Google Maps lead generation, with the research done for you
Google Maps is where local businesses list themselves. Ripple turns those listings into leads: it searches each town for each business type you sell to, cleans the list and researches every company before your callers see it.

Why Google Maps is the place to find local businesses
Owner-run businesses are often missing from contact databases, but the ones looking for work keep a Google listing, because that's how their own customers find them. The listing says what they do, where they are, whether they're open and where their website is.
That makes Google Maps the most complete starting point for a local territory. The trouble is what comes next: a raw export is a long spreadsheet of names, chains, closed shops and duplicates, with no idea which businesses are worth a call.
What a scraper gives you, and what Ripple gives you
A scraper export: Northgorge Roofing & Exteriors, an address, a phone number, a website and a star rating. Now someone has to open the website, find out who runs it, how big the crew is and whether they'd ever buy from you.
A Ripple lead: the same company, with the owner's name, a crew of about fourteen, the services they offer, the scheduling software they already pay for, a C score because that software competes with yours, and a caution for your caller.
Example company from Ripple's demo data; it isn't a real business.
From Google Maps listing to call-ready lead
Step 1: Search town by town
One Google Places search for each business type in each town inside your circle. Nearest towns and best-fit types go first.Step 2: Set aside the noise
Listings outside the circle, closed businesses, stores and chains, companies you already have and listings without a website.Step 3: Research each business
Claude reads the company's website: who runs it, the phone and email, team size, services, recent projects and software.Step 4: Score and brief
An A–D score against your ideal customer, then reasons to call, an opener and any cautions.
The official API, not scraping
Ripple searches through the Google Places API, the route Google provides for software that works with Google Maps data. It doesn't load Google Maps pages and copy them.
Ripple keeps each place's Google ID and what it learns from the company's own website, and fetches the rest of the listing from Google live when someone views it, rather than copying Google's data into its own database.
Know how much of the map you've covered
Every scan plans its searches up front and records which ones it finished. When a scan stops at its company cap, it shows how much of the area it covered and roughly how much is left, and towns on the map turn solid once they've been searched.
- Find more picks up where a scan stopped.
- Search again later only adds businesses Ripple doesn't have yet.
- New scans search ground earlier scans haven't covered first.

FAQ
Google Maps lead questions
Does Ripple scrape Google Maps?
No. Ripple searches through the Google Places API, the supported way for software to search Google Maps. It keeps Google's place ID for each company and what it learned from the company's own website, and looks the rest of the Google listing up live when someone views it.
How is Ripple different from a Google Maps scraper?
A scraper copies listings into a spreadsheet. Ripple searches through Google's Places API, sets aside chains, closed businesses, duplicates and companies you already have, then researches each business from its own website and scores it against your ideal customer. You get leads with a reason to call, not rows to clean.
Will Ripple find every business on Google Maps in my area?
It searches every town in your circle for each business type you choose, and tracks which searches are done so you can see how much of the area is covered. Businesses listed under types you didn't choose, outside the circle or without a website aren't included.
Do I need my own Google API key?
No. Ripple runs the searches for you, and Google's charges are included in the per-lead price.
Can I get plain Google Maps listings without the AI research?
Yes. A Quick scan gives you listed leads, each with the company's name, phone number and website, for 10–20¢ each. You can research any of them later.
Is it legal to use leads from Google Maps?
Searching through Google's Places API is the supported way for software to use Google Maps data. How you then contact businesses is covered by the calling and email rules where you sell, such as CASL in Canada or the TCPA and CAN-SPAM in the United States.
