Who we are
Ripple Leads is an AI lead finder for sales teams that sell to local businesses. Ripple Leads is operated by Projx Software Inc. ("Ripple Leads", "we", "us"). This policy covers this website (ripple-leads.com), the Ripple Leads app (app.ripple-leads.com), and the research Ripple Leads does on businesses for our customers.
Questions or requests about privacy go to hello@ripple-leads.com.
Information about our customers
When your team uses Ripple Leads, we collect:
- Account details: your name and email address, and your profile picture if you sign in with Google. Sign-in is handled by Clerk.
- Payment details: top-ups are paid through Stripe. We never see or store full card numbers. We keep the record of each top-up and its invoice, and the card's brand and last four digits so you can recognize the card saved for auto top-up. The billing name, address and tax number you give at checkout are kept by Stripe.
- What you put into Ripple Leads: your settings (what you sell, your ideal customer, your home base), the scans you run, call outcomes and notes, and score corrections.
- Technical information: the app uses cookies to keep you signed in. Our hosting providers keep standard logs, such as IP addresses and browser types, for security and troubleshooting.
This website itself sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers.
Information about the businesses Ripple Leads researches
Ripple Leads finds businesses through Google's Places API and reads a few pages of each business's own public website. From those, it may record the business's name, address, phone number, email address and website, the name and role of an owner or manager when the website publishes them, and what the business says about its services, projects and team. A deep dive also reads other public pages about the business, such as review sites and social media profiles.
Ripple Leads doesn't buy contact lists and doesn't guess personal details: when a website doesn't say something, the profile leaves it blank. Photos are kept as links to the business's own website, never copied, and Google ratings are looked up live rather than stored.
This is business contact information, collected so our customers can contact businesses about products and services that may suit them. Our customers decide whether and how to contact a business, and are responsible for following the law when they do.
If you run a business Ripple Leads has researched and want your details corrected or removed, email hello@ripple-leads.com with the business's name and website. We'll remove or correct them in Ripple Leads.
How we use information
- To provide Ripple Leads: running scans, researching and scoring businesses, and writing call briefs.
- To take payments, issue invoices and calculate tax.
- To keep Ripple Leads secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
- To answer your questions and tell you about changes to Ripple Leads or these terms.
- To understand what Ripple Leads costs to run and how it's used, so we can improve it.
- To meet our legal obligations, such as keeping tax records.
We don't sell personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
We use these service providers to run Ripple Leads. They process information on our behalf and only for that purpose:
- Clerk, for sign-in and accounts.
- Convex, our database and backend.
- Vercel, which hosts this website and the app.
- Stripe, for payments, invoices and sales tax.
- Google, for business listings (Google Places API) and for Google sign-in.
- Anthropic, whose Claude models read business websites and write the research. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, this data isn't used to train its models.
- OpenStreetMap, for the names and locations of towns. No personal information is sent to it.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of Ripple Leads, our customers or others. If Ripple Leads or its business is sold, information may be transferred to the buyer, who must keep protecting it as this policy describes.
Where information is stored
Our service providers store and process information in the United States and other countries. Information stored outside Canada is subject to the laws of the country where it's held and may be accessed by its authorities.
How long we keep it
- Account information: while your account is open, and for a short time after it's closed.
- Scans, leads, notes and settings: until you delete them or close your account.
- Payment and invoice records: as long as tax law requires, generally six years in Canada.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can withdraw your consent to how we use it, subject to legal and contractual limits. Email hello@ripple-leads.com and we'll reply within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
Security
All connections to Ripple Leads are encrypted, access to customer information is limited to the people who need it, and we choose service providers with strong security practices. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach puts your information at real risk, we'll tell you as the law requires.
Children
Ripple Leads is a tool for businesses. It isn't meant for children, and we don't knowingly collect information about them.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll tell customers by email or in the app before it takes effect.
